The Addict

I’m going through withdrawals as your body calls
I feel myself shake as I wake
The sound of your voice or the scent of your cologne easily sends me to my doom
Just the thought of your touch can blow me up like a balloon
As I lay here consumed filled with so much lust that I might bust
The yearning desire is like an undying fire
Burning continually thinking of you and me
Then I sit up and sigh thinking of why
I should be able to past this test that is put on my flesh
It comes against my will and sends a cold chill
Going up my spine not wanting to decline after all your mine
But is this really true if I’m not married to you
You and I are fine but our actions need changing
Trying to fight off these hormones that are raging
Especially when your body has my number on speed dial
Not wanting to ignore the call that’ll keep me busy for a while
Still I have to think twice because I’ve been bought with a price
But I fiend like an addict convinced that I have to have it
Plus when we do it I feel so close and eventually I’ll propose
Well that’s a possibility but would it be hurried by my own heightened sexuality
Feeling like such a mess going through this stress knowing you’ll contest
Saying my point of view is distorted and detached from reality
Then do whatever you can to appeal to me
Appeasing my request because it’s best realizing what will come next
That time when I’m weak and we creep in the sheets
You got what I crave so I put away my conscious and misbehave
I want a fix just like I’m a stoner
Not knowing how to say no when you’re on top of me while you got a boner
After all I care about you and I believe you feel the same
But the things that we do cause me to feel shame
And these feelings will linger until I have your wedding band on my finger
Being on the level of an alcoholic needing rehab
Trying to be good while my body wants to be bad and I hope you’re not mad
At this point it’s more than sex we make love
But I’m not married to you so I’m cheating on the one above
Please don’t look and stare saying I’m being unfair
I know that we have a connection deeper than this addiction that we share
Maybe if we stop it’ll take our relationship to a higher position
As we seek help from the great high physician
No longer having our minds being mad
Making it through the process of rehab
